The traditional cheongsam (qipao) is usually cut in stiff satin, which sculpts the curves but offers no elastic margin. Korura's acrylic knit version flips the equation: less visible structure (knit reads more matte than glossy satin), but far more flexibility to wear across 8-12 hours. The knit holds up well across 30 washes before pilling becomes visible — running a pill remover every 5-6 washes extends the matte look. For long convention wear, Korura's knit version is more comfortable than the satin cheongsams on the market; for a high-end static photoshoot, satin remains more photogenic.

The set includes three pieces: a body-skimming knit cheongsam dress with a signature heart cutout on the bust, and a pair of coordinated cuffs (two pieces). The cheongsam is shorter than a traditional qipao — sits mid-thigh to knee depending on the size (length 41" in XS/S/M, 42" in L/XL/2XL per the Korura guide). High stockings and Mary Jane shoes are NOT included in the pack — pick those up separately. The Korura cheongsam is body-skimming by construction (qipao heritage), but stretch acrylic knit absorbs body shape variation better than stiff satin. Korura uses Asian sizing: XS/S/M and L/XL/2XL — two wide stretch ranges. Measure your bust (XS/S/M: 28-35" / L/XL/2XL: 34-41"), waist (22-30" / 28-36"), and torso-to-thigh length, then cross-reference with the partner guide. If you're between the two ranges, go up for all-day comfort. The heart cutout on the bust demands precise bust measurement to position correctly.

The cheongsam's heart bust cutout is delicate: avoid twisting at the bust seam during wear, and especially during washing. Hand wash at 30°C in a basin of lukewarm water with mild detergent — don't scrub or wring. Rinse with fresh lukewarm water, press gently between two towels to remove excess, then dry flat on a terry towel. No machine, no tumble dry. Iron on low on the reverse side, avoiding the heart appliqué zone.
